TREASURY-OWNED SITE IN SINOP TO BE RESERVED FOR SHIPYARD
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will allocate a 57,855 square meters treasury-owned immovables in Gerze, Sinop for shipyard and boatyard purposes. The investor will only be able to establish a facility specified in the announcement and suitable for the purpose of the allocation, according to the ministry’s announcement in the Official Gazette dated January 4. The approvals and permissions required in accordance with the relevant legislation will be carried out by the investor within the preliminary permit period given by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. The contribution fee will include the cost of renovations and be collected in advance. The investor will start construction after obtaining a construction license within one year from the delivery of the site. It will complete all of the investments specified in the preliminary project in two years in accordance with the deadline plan. The deadline can be extended up to one year in the presence of force majeure. Bidders shall submit the requested documents in a sealed envelope within 30 days to the General Directorate of Shipyards and Coastal Structures of the ministry.
MEDICAL WASTE FACILITY TENDER IN ORDU
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality has announced a tender for the establishment of a medical waste sterilization facility, separate collection, transportation, sterilization and disposal of wastes for a period of 10 years. According to the announcement of the municipality published in the Official Gazette on January 4, all necessary units will be established for a 1,000 kg/h capacity facility for the collection of medical wastes from health institutions in 19 districts operating within the borders of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality without harming human health and the environment. During the operation process, an immovable with a surface area of 1,898 square meters will be rented in the district of Altinordu and a share will be paid to the municipality over the monthly gross income from medical waste disposal. The estimated cost of the tender for the 10-year period will be TRY 36.5m. The bid bond will be TRY 1m and monthly rental will be TRY 4,750. The tender will be held at the main building of the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality on January 20 at 2:10pm and documents can be submitted up to 4:00pm on January 19.
LICENSE VALIDITY FOR AIRLINE COMPANIES CHANGED
The periods determined for licensed airline and air taxi companies, affecting the validity conditions of the license, can be extended by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation Investigation Commission. Accordingly, in cases declared by the World Health Organization as a global pandemic, if flights are suspended completely, the periods determined within the scope of the regulation that affect the validity conditions of the license regarding the licensed airline and air taxi operators may be extended by the Investigation Commission. If the flights are suspended or the flights are stopped completely, “the minimum capital in the net assets determined by the regulation for the enterprises according to the year-end financial statements for the period in which the said situation is valid” will not be required. The exemption will be applied in 2019 and 2020, including the year-end and interim financial statements.
SME INCENTIVES WILL BE AVAILABLE WITHOUT GUARANTEE
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) will be able to provide refundable support and early payments in line with the procedures and principles determined by the KOSGEB Executive Committee with or without a guarantee. A Presidential decree regarding the amendment was published in the Official Gazette on January 6.
THE EXCEPTION PERIOD IN TREASURY SUPPORT EXTENDED
The duration of the exemption for tax and Social Security Institution (SGK) debts regarding Treasury support provided to credit guarantee institutions has been extended from December 31, 2020 to July 1, 2021. The relevant Presidential Decree entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette, effective from January 1, 2021.
