The Japan-based industrial engine, heavy machinery, and agricultural machinery manufacturer Yanmar’s Turkey subsidiary Yanmar Turkey Makine AS has launched a new tractor production plant on 23,000 square meters in Torbali Izmir.
The company aims to raise its tractor production capacity by 3.5-fold in Turkey with the factory, which it will also use for tractor assembly, storage, and logistics services.
“We aim to make Turkey a production, engineering, and logistics base to cover Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and North Africa,” said Mustafa Kemal Erdogan Shoshi, Chairman of Yanmar Turkey Makine AS.
“We also aim for an annual turnover of TRY 2bn,” said Shoshi.
“With the new production plant, we take a big step in line with our goal to raise our market share to the double digits in Turkey, the fourth largest market in the sector globally,” he added.
