Offering chemical plating solutions to many sectors globally, the Akkok Holding subsidiary, Akcoat, plans to increase its exports from USD 65m to USD 95m, according to Veysi Kucuk, the company’s General Manager. Akcoat has concentrated on the Chinese, the U.S., Spanish, Indian, Italian, and Mexican markets this year and raised its global market share from 12% to 15%. It has production facilities in Turkey and Spain as well as offices in China and the U.S. “Our sales offices and technical services actively operate in different regions, such as Europe, South America, Asia and Africa,” said Kucuk. Akcoat employs over 500 people around the world. “Our turnover reached USD 106m as of the end of 2020. We aim to increase this figure to USD 120m this year,” said Kucuk. Akcoat will put its Satellite R&D and Product Excellence Development Center into play in China in the upcoming years while it also plans capacity increases at its Spain facility.
