While we were sleeping in our beds, two new ministries have been established with a presidential decree and three new ministers have been appointed by the Presidency according to the Official Gazette. Thus, the Cabinet has ‘partially’ been changed.
Accordingly, Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan, who has been at the country’s agenda for a while with news that the company owned by her husband sold sanitizers to the Ministry of Trade, has been replaced by Mehmet Mus, the AK Party Parliamentary Group Chairman.
Dr. Mehmet Mus was born on May 1, 1982 in Trabzon Sürmene. Mus, who completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul, graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University Business Administration Department. Later, Mus completed his master’s degree in Economics at Washington State University School of Economic Sciences and completed his doctorate in the Department of Economic History at Marmara University.
Mus was working on critical economic omnibus bills that submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly when he was AK Party Group Deputy Chairman.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services has been divided into two different ministries. Within this frame, Derya Yanik and Vedat Bilgin have been appointed the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and Ministry of Labor and Social Security, respectively.
Our sine qua non, USD/TRY, which fluctuated between 8.07-8.13 yesterday, starts the new trading day at 8.11-8.12, while EUR/TRY appreciates at 9.78 with a slight increase compared to yesterday. Gold prices increased by 0.41% to USD 1,785, while brent crude is traded at USD 66.38.

Turkish Statistical Institute released the Agricultural Input Price Index (Agricultural-IPI) for February. Accordingly, Agricultural-IPI increased by 19.60% in February compared to the same month of the previous year.
