The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will announce April consumer price index (CPI) data. Consumer prices in the U.S. increased by 0.6% in March from the previous month and 2.6% from a year ago.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) will announce March labor force data. The unemployment rate increased by 0.7 points to 13.4% in February annually, while the number of unemployed people rose by 250,000 to 4.236m.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) will announce March industrial production numbers. Industrial production increased by 8.8% in February compared to the same month of the previous year.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) will announce March balance of payments data. The current account gave a USD 2.6bn deficit in February while the annual deficit rose to USD 37.7bn.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) will announce April house sales data. First house sales decreased by 2.1% to 33,365 in March compared to the same month of the previous year.

CHP CENTRAL EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING
The Republican People’s Party (CHP) Central Executive Board members are expected to gather on Monday with the participation of the party’s president Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
CABINET MEETING
Cabinet members are expected to gather on Monday with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The cabinet announced a full lockdown in the previous meeting. Regarding a possible extension of the lockdown due to the May 19 holiday, Fuat Oktay, Vice President, said the government will wait and see the number of daily cases, but an extension is not on the agenda.
