The Turkey’s Automobile Joint Venture Group (TOGG) has won the international iF Design Award for its C-SUV model, making TOGG the first brand from the country to win an award in the vehicles sector. The C-SUV model, which was designed under the guidance of Murat Gunak, in collaboration with Pininfarina as a strategic partner and by 150,000 hours of work by the TOGG design team won in the ‘Professional Concept’ category, according to the company’s statement. “We’ve achieved the design target and technical definition of our vehicle based on user insights,” said Gurcan Karakas, CEO of TOGG. “This achievement of our original design, which we developed by taking inspiration from our culture and has been officially registered in 27 European Union states, China, Russia and Japan so far, encourages us to do better,” said Karakas. The first of the mass-produced C-SUV model vehicles will be ready in Q4 2022. Considered as the symbol of design excellence in the international arena, 52 countries with nearly 10,000 products and projects competed at the iF Design Awards this year, which have been awarded since 1954.
