Tetra Pak’s production plant in Izmir exported over 7 billion packages to 41 countries on four continents in 2020, despite the pandemic, according to Konstantin Kolesnik, Managing Director of Tetra Pak Turkey. The facility has obtained the Turkish Standards Institution’s COVID -19 Safe Production Certificate and aims to reduce its manufacturing waste to zero. The facility manufactures 27 different packages with a production capacity of over 10bn. Operating for over 45 years, Tetra Pak employs over 400 people at its production plant in Kemalpasa, Izmir as well as at offices in Istanbul and Bursa. The company invested over EUR 20m to establish a worldwide recycling infrastructure and partnership network from 2012-2019.
