The aerospace and aviation company, Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI), and Boeing have signed a contract for the production and supply of engine covers for Boeing 737s. TAI is expected to meet half of the monthly engine cover production for all Boeing 737 aircrafts to be manufactured as of 2025. The engine covers will be manufactured at TAI’s facilities located in the capital Ankara, where it currently produces elevators, cargo panels and tailplanes for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and elevators for the Boeing 737. Boeing has expanded its presence, investments, and supply chain in the country a few years ago, according to Aysem Sargin, Boeing Turkey Managing Director.
