The production plant will have two glass furnaces and have a net production capacity of 330,000 tonnes per year. “The plant will meet glass container demand for both Hungary and Europe when it’s completed. In this way, we’ll extend our footprint in the glass container market in Europe,” said Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kirman, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CE• of Sisecam. The facility will reach full capacity in 2025. The plant will be financed through the establishment of a 100% Hungarian shareholding subsidiary.
