Airbus has appointed Simon Ward as the Head of Turkey. Ward will be responsible for development and implementation of Airbus strategies in the country, expansion of the company’s local presence and creation of new growth and productivity opportunities in his new position. Ward will also coordinate company-wide business activities and will lead government affairs. Over more than two decades at Airbus, Ward has taken various positions in engineering, business administration and supply services between 1998-2002 and also served as Internal Consultant for Senior Vice President of International Cooperation at Airbus Headquarter in France in 2003. Ward also has led various industrial cooperation and offset programs supporting sales campaigns for all business units in key regions of Airbus. He received his Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Production and Mechanical Engineering at Trent University. He also completed his master’s degree in Engineering and Business Administration, Management and Operations at Warwick University.
