Schneider Electric opened the first innovation center of the Middle East and Africa region (MEA) in Istanbul in a bid to secure a lead position during the region’s digital transformation. The innovation center, set up in the company’s headquarter in Atasehir district, will offer real-time solutions in energy efficiency to clients such as hospitals, hotels, industrial plants, data centers and infrastructure investments. The center is equipped with expansive artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies, according to Bora Tuncer, Schneider Electric’s Cluster President and CEO of Turkey, Central Asia and Pakistan. The center aims to create specific to each customer by connecting and comparing all facilities in the world with each other through real time data. The center is expected to serve as an experience, training and development area for university students from engineering departments, energy sector professionals and professional bodies as well as to host over 1,000 people and companies this year.
