The Polisan Holding subsidiary operating in the chemical industry, Polisan Kimya, will increase its production capacity by 30% with a new resin facility to be set up with a EUR 5m investment, according to Selcuk Denizligil, General Manager of Polisan Kimya. The foundation for the plant was laid in March and it is expected to become operational in April 2022. “We’ll develop different resins for automotive, casting and printing in addition to resins used in construction and woodwork,” said Denizligil. The facility will have Industry 4.0 standards and different reaction capabilities. Polisan Kimya manufactures 150,000 tonnes of formaldehyde and resins per year and has an annual construction chemicals production capacity of 130,000 tonnes at its facilities located in Dilovasi, Samsun and Adana. “Formaldehyde and resin product groups generate 46% of Polisan Kimya’s income,” said Denizligil. The combined income of Polisan Holding totaled TRY 2.2bn in 2020.
