Koc Holding subsidiary Otokar has received an export order of 50 compressed natural gas (CNG) KENT city buses from Azerbaijan’s public transportation company Xaliq Fiaqoglu, according to a statement from the company. The order consists of 48 units of 12-meter KENT CNG and 2 units of 18.75-meter KENT Articulated CNG buses. Deliveries will start this year and are scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. “Our vehicles, which are the first choice in urban public transportation in many European countries, notably France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Romania, as well as Turkey, will also soon be operating in Azerbaijan,” said Serdar Gorguc, General Manager of Otokar. The contract is also the company’s largest single export deal for CNG vehicles.
