The non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) jumped 96.44% in January compared to the same month last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
Thus, the ND-PPI has reached its highest annual level since 2010, when it was first calculated.
The index also rose by 3.25% in January month-over-month and climbed by 46.71% last month on a 12-month rolling average.
For the two main sectors – mining and quarrying and manufacturing – the ND-PPI surged by 98.47% and 96.40% on an annual basis, respectively.
Monthly, the ND-PPI for those two sectors was up by 4.82% and 3.23%, respectively.
