According to the communiqué published in the Official Gazette, hybrid and plug-in vehicles were added to the requirement to open 20 services in 7 regions, which was introduced last year for electric vehicle imports.

According to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, an authorized service obligation was introduced for the import of some electric and externally rechargeable hybrid vehicles.
Minimum 20 authorized services in 7 regions
According to the Communiqué, at least 20 authorized service stations in 7 geographical regions will have to be established by the importer itself and certified by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).
Persons who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electric or externally rechargeable hybrid vehicles must have a qualification certificate issued by TSE or the Vocational Qualifications Authority exclusively for the maintenance and repair of these vehicles.
In the import of electric or externally rechargeable hybrid vehicles that are not subject to type approval, the exemption / out of scope letter issued by TSE will be sought by customs administrations.
