Levent Cakiroglu, the CEO of Koc Holding, has been named co-chair of the Trade and Investment Task Force of the B20, the private sector business wing of the G20. Cakiroglu becomes the first representative of a Turkish company on the B20 Task Force since Turkey assumed the presidency of the G20 in 2015. The B20 gathers together global business leaders to help shape the role of the private sector in the world’s 20 largest economies. The first B20 summit, under the chairmanship of Italy, was held on January 21-22. 115 senior management executives in 22 sectors from 29 countries are members of the B20 Trade and Investment Task Force. Institutions to which members are affiliated employ over 4.5 million people and record an annual turnover of over EUR 400bn.
