Construction and agricultural machinery, energy systems, marine and industrial engine manufacturer Yanmar aims to make Turkey its base for exports and manufacturing of agricultural equipment. Currently importing all parts, Yanmar plans to increase the localization rate for its tractors manufactured at itsIzmir plant to over 51%. The company has started exporting domestically-produced machinery to Japan and Thailand. Yanmar increased the number of units produced by over 300% in 2020. This year, it aims to double its production capacity. “We will make investments to improve the production line in the plant but our emphasis will be on the supply chain. We will develop R&D projects with our suppliers to increase the localization level,” said Mustafa
