Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) announced the industrial production index data for April. Accordingly, calendar-adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.7 percent in April compared to the same month last year.
When the industry subsectors (based on 2021=100) were examined, the mining and quarrying index increased by 12.2%, the manufacturing index decreased by 1.5%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index increased by 1.6% in April 2024 compared with the same month of the previous year.
Industrial production decreased by 4.9% monthly
The mining and quarrying index decreased by 1.3%, the manufacturing index decreased by 5.3%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index decreased by 2.7% in April 2024 compared with the previous month.
