Automotive supply company Erenli Holding has begun construction work on a EUR 16.6m (TRY 260m) production plant in Serbia.
The facility, which will be built in Leskovac, will manufacture cooling systems for automotive brands such as Daimler, Mercedes, FCA, PSA, Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen, Kia, BMW, and Hyundai.
The production plant will employ 338 people in its first stage, according to Goran Cvetanovic, Mayor of Leskovac.
The Municipality of Leskovac has allocated a 67,649 square meter of land for the company’s new manufacturing plant, free of cost.
The land won’t be sold to a third party for five years form the project’s start date, according to the agreement.
Founded in 1959 in Izmir, Erenli Holding manufactures rubber parts for the automotive supply industry. The company, which has a 11,000 square meter manufacturing plant in the Izmir Kemalpasa Organized Industrial Zone, has an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons. The holding company exports to countries including Italy, Germany, the U.S., Spain, France, and Finland.
