EDIN AWARDED ‘INVESTMENT LEADER OF THE YEAR’

Ebru Dildar Edin, Corporate, Investment Banking and Global Markets Executive Vice President of Garanti BBVA has been named ‘Investment Leader of the Year’ at the 2021 Sustainable Investment Awards hosted by the London-based Environmental Finance. The judges credited Ebru Dildar Edin as an early and pioneering champion supporting sustainable investment. Edin leads the team which develops sustainable finance mechanisms supporting transition to the low carbon economy and social gender equality by using the transformative power of the finance sector. “We’ve taken actions and developed innovative finance models towards sustainable development, climate change and fight against inequalities for over 15 years. I’ve experienced the privilege of playing an active role in every project carried out at Garanti BBVA during this period,” said Edin. Garanti BBVA established the Sustainability Committee in 2010 and organized the Sustainability Team to implement the committee decisions in 2012. As the only bank listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, it has provided TRY 51bn in impact investments with more than 40 sustainable products and services.
