The U.S.-based global media and entertainment company Discovery Inc. has acquired a 35% of share in Turkey’s online video streaming platform BluTV. With the partnership, Turkish viewers will be able to watch all content of Discovery’s global and domestic brands as well as Eurosport’s premium sports broadcasts on BluTV. BluTV provides service to all viewers speaking Turkish and Arabic around the world. The platform recorded strong growth with a focus on proprietary content and technology as well as over 10,000 hours of domestic and foreign content. Turkey has a gradually increasing Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) base with over four million subscribers.
