DARDANEL EYES NEW BRANDS

Dardanel aims to acquire new brands that demonstrate a strong market share in the region, according to Niyazi Onen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dardanel. The company’s 60% market share is expected to grow in line with the budget targets in 2021. “Our goal is to increase annual tuna fish consumption per capita from 200 grams to over one kilogram in Turkey,” said Onen. Dardanel focuses on the production and marketing of canned tuna and other canned fish, frozen seafood, fish flour, canned and frozen fruits and vegetables, frozen pastry, frozen ready-made food products and pet food. The company’s turnover increased by 33% to TRY 281.4m in Q1.
