Kazanci Holding’s subsidiary Aksa Enerji nearly tripled its net profit to TRY 208m in the first quarter (Q1), compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the company’s financial statement. The company, which exports energy to Iraq and Georgia, increased its turnover by 16% to TRY 2.1bn by diversifying operations in this period. The company has continued its investments since 2015. “Regions with high growth potential are on our radar,” said Cemil Kazanci, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aksa Enerji. The company’s natural gas combined cycle power plants in Uzbekistan with an installed capacity of 740 megawatts (MW) will start generation by the last quarter of this year. “We will also operate the 50 MW natural gas power plant in the Republic of Congo,” said Kazanci.
