The air conditioning manufacturing company Daikin Turkey says it will invest USD 53m in Turkey for the manufacturing of five different product categories, according to Hasan Onder, CEO of Daikin Turkey. The Japan-based firm has invested USD 350m in total in the country so far. “The company aims to invest USD 150m by 2025,” said Onder. Daikin Turkey’s 2020 turnover was TRY 2.8bn, representing 42% growth compared to 2019. “We aim to grow by 46% this year and estimate our turnover will exceed TRY 4bn,” he added. Export revenues rose by 28% to USD 200m in this period. “We’ve set the export target as USD 300m for 2021,” said Onder. The company has an annual production capacity of 1.5 million split air conditions, 250,000 combi boilers, 200,000 fan coil units and 2,500 air handling units.
