The seasonally-adjusted consumer confidence index increased by 1.9% from 71.2 to 72.5 in March, compared to the previous month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The index of household finances dropped by 1.5% over the past 12 months from 55.2 to 54.4 while the household finances expectations index in the next 12 months surged by 2.3% from 68.3 to 69.9 in the same period.
The index measuring expectations for the general economic situation in the next 12 months rose by 1.2% from 71.7 to 72.6 in March. The index for the assessment of spending on durable goods over the next 12 months jumped by 4.4% from 89.4 to 93.3 points monthly.
