Borusan Holding ’s subsidiary Borusan Logistics has turned the container crisis into an opportunity by offering alternative solutions and increasing its business volume this year, according to Serdar Ercal, General Manager of Borusan Logistics. The company increased the number of runs and accelerated customs clearance with the Authorized Economic Operator Certificate (AEO) in exports while delivering freight from China by rail. “As maritime transportation shifted to road transportation due to the container problem, we used the railway transportation as an alternative for freight destined for the Far East,” said Ercal. The company increased the number of runs by using its fleet efficiently as well as offering speed and cost advantages to its customers. Borusan Logistics makes nearly 500,000 runs per year and reaches over 50 countries alone in international land transportation.
