AUTOMOTIVE parts manufacturer Beycelik Holding is planning USD 100m in investments over two years, its CEO Baran Celik said. The infusion of cash will go into the construction of a facility to produce body parts in Golcuk, Kocaeli, as well as a factory in the Bursa Technology Organized Industrial Zone (TEKNOSAB). “The facility in TEKNOSAB will initially cover four hectares and then reach an area of more than 10 hectares by 2025,” Celik said.
The ultimate goal is to gather together all the facilities of the company in TEKNOSAB by 2024, except for Beycelik Gestamp, the renewable energy division of the holding. “The investment focuses on digitalization, efficiency, defect-free production and new generation production models,” Celik said.
Beycelik completed and commissioned the investment they started in Romania in 2017. Celik pointed out that the facility has turned into an efficient production base serving the main automotive industries in Romania and reaching an annual production volume of close to EUR 60m. Partnering with Spanish Gestamp Wind since 2009 in wind turbine power manufacturing, Beycelik Gestamp Yenilenebilir Enerji specializes in shaping new generation materials, Celik said, adding that the company has reached USD 120m in exports. Beyçelik Gestamp also offers new solutions in sheet metal forming technologies for reducing vehicle weight, resistance to crashes and increasing vehicle safety.
