ASELSAN NATIONALIZES 400 PRODUCTS IN THREE YEARS

The defense company ASELSAN nationalized nearly 400 products with the efforts of suppliers in the last three years and has opened more than 750 products to nationalization application to date, according to Haluk Gorgun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASELSAN. The company established the National and Local Product Development Board three years ago in order to carry out nationalization works in a systematic way. “We’ve pushed our domestic purchasing rate to over 70% and we’ll raise it further,” said Gorgun. ASELSAN will also sign a cooperation protocol with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization, Defense and Aerospace Industry Manufacturers Association, Middle East Technical University Teknokent Defense Industry Cluster and OSTIM Defense and Aviation Cluster in order to find competent resources in the nationalization process.
