Dr. Yilmaz Arguden, the Chairman of ARGE Consulting and Rothschild & Co. Turkey, has been appointed the Chairman of the Governance and Regulatory Policy Committee of Business at OECD (BIAC), according to a statement from the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD).
In his new position, Arguden will lead the Committee to develop and convey global business priorities on the governance and regulatory policies to the governments and OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) representatives.
Dr. Yilmaz Arguden, who has been a member of the TUSIAD since 1992, actively worked at the Economic and Financial Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs, and Foreign Relations Committees. Arguden, who worked as the founding member of the Board of Directors of the TUSIAD-US and the TUSIAD-Sabancı University Competition Forum, acted previously as the Chairman of the TUSIAD Public Reform Working Group.
Arguden, has also actively contributed to the preparation of the TUSIAD’s report on the competitiveness of Turkey, the social security report “Retired and Happy”, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Tax Reform reports.
Dr. Yilmaz Arguden, who is the current member of the TUSIAD’s Conduct Committee has been engaged actively in the Business at OECD Governance Committee work since 2011.
The BIAC is an international business network of leading business federations in OECD countries providing policy recommendations to the OECD and governments, representing over 7 million corporations. The TUSIAD joined the Business at OECD in 1999.
