Chemicals manufacturer Akkim Kimya aims to increase the share of exports in its turnover from 10% to 30%, according to Ozan Onur, Textile Solutions Division Manager of Akkim Kimya. The company also plans to grow in locations is considers textile manufacturing hubs. Akkim Kimya currently has a manufacturing capacity of 840,000 tonnes in five locations. “Our most important strategic target is to localize in five years in countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt,” said Onur. Akkim Kimya started the year with an acquisition worth USD 63m, raising its investments in inorganic growth to USD 200m over the last 6 years. “Alongside technology, production and R&D investments, inorganic acquisition investments and global partnership opportunities are on the table,” said Onur.
