Vodafone Turkey has acquired 50% of Future Generation Systems (FGS), the 100% Turkish technology and software company transitioning traditional private branch exchange (PBX) infrastructure to new generation cloud technology. FGS products and services will also be exported to other countries where Vodafone operates. Vodafone Turkey aims to become the country’s fastest growing digital services company by 2025, with the ultimate goal of transforming into a new generation connection and digital services firm. “With this collaboration, we aim to increase our share in the fixed voice market,” said Engin Aksoy, the company’s CEO. “Our medium-term goal is to extend and export the software we develop at home with Vodafone Turkey,” Nihat Yilmaz, CEO of FGS, added.
