Vakko Holding is preparing to acquire Yargici, which operates in the fashion and lifestyle industry at 96 sale points at home and abroad. The holding has signed a letter of intention in this context, a statement by the company said. However, no statement was made regarding purchase price.
Operating under Vakko, Vakko Wedding, Vakkorama, W Collection, V2K designers, Vakko Patisserie, Christofle, Pronovias brands, Vakko Holding aims to further grow by adding Yargici to its brands.
Yargici operates in the female fashion and accessories industries with 62 stores along with its Yargici Home brand. Majority share of Yargici was acquired by the Kuwaiti investment fund Global Investment Fund before it merged with the Kuwait-based Kamco Invest.
The foundation was laid in 1978
The foundation of Yargici was laid in 1978, when Emir Yargici and his brother launched the first store in Osmanbey in Istanbul. They initially focused on men’s shirts. The company started to offer women’s collection in 1998.
Creating collections towards lifestyle as of 2015 with its Yargici Homeworks stores, the brand gathered all decoration, home accessories and furniture groups under a single roof. Operating for nearly 40 years with boutique service understanding, Yargici continues to serve with its e-commerce website alongside of its stores in Turkey and abroad. The company has over 90 sales point at home and abroad, according to its website.
