Turkish ready-made clothing and textile companies operating in Ukraine have been adversely affected by Russia’s ‘special military operation’ in the country. Many brands from LC Waikiki to Colins and English Home, which have around 200 stores in Ukraine, have closed them due to security concerns.
Shopping malls in the country sent a notice about this to the brands. The ready-made companies Colins and LC Waikiki operate approximately 60 and 50 stores, respectively, while the home textile company English home has 33 stores in Ukraine. Moreover, the brands have suspended their new store opening plan for the near future.
LC Waikiki planned to have 60 stores
LC Waikiki is among the companies with the highest number of stores in Ukraine. The brand operates nearly 50 stores in Kyiv, Chernigiv, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Kyrviy Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and other cities. The company had planned to have 60 stores in the country by 2023.
Colins stores in over 30 cities
Colins is the top Turkish ready-made clothing company in terms of the number of stores in Ukraine, operating approximately 70 stores in over 30 cities. The company, which penetrated the Ukrainian market 22 years ago, has a total sales area of around 25,000 square meters.
Apart from these brands, major Turkish retailers have also halted their new store launch plans.
