The Turkey Reputation Academy (TIA) has announced the results of the Value-Added Index (KENDEKS), including the companies and institutions that are independently audited and create domestic value-add.
“The domestic value-add created within a country is now more important than the export figures for the national economies. We developed KENDEKS to determine the impact of the domestic value-added on export increase,” said Ertan Acar, President of TIA.
KENDEKS was calculated using 2020 data considering five different indicators, including patents, brands, industrial design, export, and periodic income. “Business activity reports for the companies traded on Borsa Istanbul as well as the data released by the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TURKPATENT), the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), and the Ministry of Industry and Technology were all combined to calculate KENDEKS,” said Acar.
