The first ‘bloc export train’ between Turkey and Russia has arrived at the final stop near Moscow. Departing from Ankara on January 29, the train took the Baku-Tbilisi- Kars (BTK) railway line to Russia’s Kaluga region. Nearly 4,000 units of white goods manufactured by BEKO were carried by the train in a total of 15 containers. The welcoming ceremony was held for the arrival of the train. “We are progressing toward the bilateral foreign trade volume of USD 100bn,” said Mehmet Samsar, Turkey’s Ambassador in Moscow. The first bloc export train will make an important contribution to bilateral trade, according to Sergey First Deputy Director of Russian Railways.
