Intermodal transportation company Sarp Intermodal has invested TRY 41m to purchase 500 45-foot containers, according to Onur Talay, CEO of Sarp Intermodal. “The number of 45-foot containers we own will reach 1,550 with this investment,” Talay said. The company has made this investment decision in order to respond to increasing demand, sustain international trade flows and further increase its market share. Orders are planned to be delivered before the end of this year. “Thus, we’ll have an opportunity to directly reach over 4,000 containers with our business partners’ equipment,” said Talay. Sarp Intermodal aims to increase the number of containers to 2,500 by the end of 2022. The company doubled its growth in 2020, compared to 2019 and increased its workforce by 25% in this period.
