The net profit of SOCAR Turkey’s subsidiary Petkim totaled TRY 1.3bn while its total turnover reached TRY 7.3bn in the second quarter of the year. The company’s net profit rose to TRY 2.2bn in the first half of 2021, the best performance since its establishment. “Our uninterrupted and integrated production with STAR Refinery was another important factor increasing Petkim’s profitability in a period when production costs jumped 110% and naphtha prices climbed by 60%, compared to the previous year,” said Anar Mammadov, Head of Refinery and Petrochemistry Business Unit of SOCAR Turkey and General Manager of Petkim.
