Construction company Onur Insaat will carry out Ukraine’s first road construction project using the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model. As part of the project, the company will build a highway between Lviv and Mukachevo.
Onur Insaat will carry out the project with the State Agency of Motor Roads of Ukraine (UKRAVTODOR). “The PPP model how we are actively developing the road construction sector now,” said Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure and UKRAVTODOR General Manager Oleksandr Kubrakov.
The planned highway will pass through Lviv and Zakarpatska Oblast in Western Ukraine and will serve as an alternative to the Kyiv-Chop M-06 Highway.
Onur Insaat, which employs 8,000 people in Ukraine, is considered among the largest foreign companies operating in the country. The firm has overseen
projects worth over USD 2bn in 14 different regions of the country.
Onur Insaat ranks 92nd in the U.S.-based weekly construction industry magazine, Engineering News-Record’s (ENR), Top 250 International Contractors list for 2021.
