MANUFACTURING PMI PEAKS AFTER 5 MONTHS

The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index increased by 3.6 points to 54.4 in January, compared to December 2020, according to the Istanbul Chamber of Industry. The index has reached its highest level since July 2020. New orders and production increases were the main drivers of growth. Employment in the manufacturing industry has recorded the fastest increase in more than three years.
