Kalyon Solar Technologies Factory, an integrated solar panel production plant with a USD 400m investment by Kalyon Holding, has produced 1 million solar panels since it became operational a year ago. Over the past year, the facility has increased its capacity from 500 megawatts (MW) to 1,200 MW and aims to product local and renewable energy. The production plant, which houses the factory as well as an R&D center on 25,000 square meters of land, plays an important role in the development of solar technologies. “Alongside studies carried out by our R&D center, which employs over 100 engineers and researchers, we also have advanced production and implementation technologies,” said Cemal Kalyoncu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalyon Holding. The holding company has also initiated M 10 panel production and sales at this facility.
