The 50 start-ups of ITU Cekirdek Incubation Center, which is among the top five in the world among the entrepreneurship incubation centers of universities, received an TRY 478m investment in total with TRY 2.5bn valuation in 2021. This figure was TRY 107m in 2020 and increased by five-fold in a year.
ITU ARI Teknokent General Manager Prof. Dr. Attila Dikbas said that they strive for more with the motivation created by the success stories.
“ITU Cekirdek has become an incubation center not only for Turkey but also for the world. We will adopt ITU Seed by increasing our global activities and collaborations in 2022 with this perspective,” he said.
The program will enable ITU Cekirdek to make Turkey and its region a hub for foreign entrepreneurs. “We will mobilize all our resources to expand all domestic and foreign start-ups both in our ecosystem and open them to the world,” Dikbas noted.
