In the distribution of new hotel projects by city in Europe, London ranks first with 76 investments, while Istanbul ranks second with 50 new hotel investment projects. Turkey ranked 4th in the country ranking.
New hotel investments continue in Europe and Turkey. As of the first half of this year, 418 new hotels with a total capacity of 64,835 rooms are being built in Europe. Turkey ranks fourth among the countries with the highest number of new hotels in Europe.
According to the data in Lodging Econometrics’ (LE) European Hotel Construction Investment Trend Report for Q2 2024, the UK ranks first in new hotel investment with 306 projects. Germany ranks second with 178 projects, France third with 120 projects and Turkey ranks the fourth with 117 projects. It is expected that 354 new hotel and tourism investment projects will be realized in Turkey until 2026.
