Singapore-based logistics company Globelink is investing together with a local partner for the first time in a different market. The company will open its first offices in Germany and the USA with its Turkish partner Ünimar.
Ünimar, a Turkish-owned logistics company, started its commercial life in 1994, and in 2011, it decided to continue its journey as Globelink Ünimar by establishing a partnership with Singapore-based logistics giant CWT Globelink PTE Ltd.
Founded in 1988, CWT Globelink Group has an extensive logistics network in the Asian market. The company, which has nearly 110 offices in more than 30 countries worldwide, operates in the region up to India with its subsidiaries. In India and the west, it manages its offices with local partners. The company recently broke new ground with its partner Ünimar in Turkey. Globelink does not have its own offices in both Germany and the U.S. The company will make its first investment in these countries with its Turkish partner.
Fatih Bas, Executive Committee Member of Globelink Ünimar, talked to ECONOMİ daily about the company’s growth targets and investment plans. Reminding that Globelink Ünimar offers services in all supply chain functions including international maritime, airline and road main services as well as integrated logistics services, Bas stated that the company has started important investments.
Globelink Ünimar, continuing its growth in Turkey, started its international expansion as well. The first investment stop in this regard was Germany. Fatih Bas said, “Germany, one of the world’s largest economies, is a very important market for Turkey. We need to be there. We will first open an office in Hamburg, then we have an investment plan in Düsseldorf. Furthermore, we are also planning an office for air cargo at one of Frankfurt or Leipzig airports.”
Globelink Ünimar’s foreign investments will not be limited to Germany. There is a plan to open an office in the USA in the first half of 2026.
