The on-demand fast grocery delivery service Getir has started its services in Paris and Berlin, following its launch in Amsterdam and London.
“Our goal has been to operate abroad under the name of Getir since the first day,” said Tuncay Tutek, Founding Partner of Getir in a statement.
Thus, Getir has increased the number of countries it offers service to five.
“We started our operations in four European countries in six months. We’re able to rapidly extend our operations with our knowledge and tehcnological infrastructure in countries where we penetrate,” said Tutek.
Getir has raised USD 550m in new funding and tripled its valuation to over USD 7.5bn in the beginning of June. Getir will utilize the latest capital injection to fuel its expansion into the U.S. this year.
The 10-minute delivery app was established in 2015 and currently offers more than 1,500 products in 30 cities in Turkey, including Istanbul, Izmir and the capital Ankara.
