The Germany-based AKG Group, a century-long manufacturer of radiators and coolers, is shifting some of its overseas operations to Turkey. The company produces more than 2.5 million radiators and coolers annually in its 12 production facilities in 9 countries. AKG started its operations in Turkey after opening a sales office in 1996 and later established a production facility in Kemalpasa, Izmir. “Our production machinery will be transferred to our factory in Kemalpasa. The production capacity of our plant will significantly increase with the new machinery coming from Germany,” said Gokay Turker, AKG Turkey sales manager. The plans to increase employment from 150 to 200 people and aims to become one of the largest manufacturing companies operating in the Aegean region.
