Economic Confidence Index increased by 3.3% to 98.9 points in March. Thus, the index has reached the highest level since April 2018.
Economic confidence index rose by 3.3% to 98.9 points in March, compared to the previous month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The index stood at 95.8 in February. The rise in the index stemmed from increases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services and retail trade confidence indices.
Accordingly, consumer confidence index rose by 2.5% to 86.7, real sector confidence index increased by 1.4% to 110.2, services confidence index rose by 5.1% to 105.5 and retail trade confidence index increased by 0.2% to 109.2 in March compared to the previous month, while construction confidence index dropped by 4.0% to 79.8 points in this period.
