The Economic Confidence Index declined by 5.1% to 93.9 points, the country’s statistical authority said.
The Economic Confidence index fell by 5.1% from 98.9 points to 93.9 points in April, compared to the previous month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
“The decrease stemmed from decline in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services, retail trade and construction confidence indices,” TurkStat said.
Accordingly, the consumer confidence index dropped by 7.5% to 80.2 points in April, compared to the previous month.
The real sector confidence index declined by 2.5% to 107.4 points, while services confidence index decreased by 2% to 103.3 points in this period.
The retail trade confidence index, meanwhile, fell by 5.6% to 103.1 points, the official data showed.
The construction confidence index dropped by 3.1% to 77.3 points in this period.
