The President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso, kicked off a 3-day visit to Turkey on October 6, according to a statement from the EBRD.
Renaud-Basso held an online meeting with Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati. They discussed the global economic outlook, economic developments in Turkey, and collaboration between the EBRD and Turkey.
The EBRD President will hold high-level meetings with senior officials, private sector clients, NGOs, and foreign policy experts.
As part of Renaud-Basso’s visit, she will also meet with Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez, Central Bank Governor Sahap Kavcioglu, and Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoglu.
From Istanbul, the EBR President will also travel to Bodrum, where she will attend a round table led by the Centre for European Reform (CER) and the Centre for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (EDAM) and meet with foreign policy experts.
Odile Renaud-Basso’s previously visited the country in November 2021.
