The ‘Easy Export Points’ project to ease transit procedures in exports has been put into effect, according to Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan. The project sets up the infrastructure and the first stage of the European Union’s (EU) centralized customs clearance in the country. The Easy Export Points will enable exporters to submit export declarations from their offices by choosing the closest customs office and to deliver their goods from production plants directly to the facilities of licensed freight forwarders without delay. With the project, there will be no need to submit transit declarations, visit customs offices, bring documents and stamps. Freight forwarders can also proceed by collecting export goods along the way with the same system. Documents will be controlled in the electronic environment while physical control will be conducted at the licensed freight forwarding facilities if required.
