Doganlar Holding’s USD 10m Senegal factory starts manufacturing

Furniture, construction, retail, and energy company Doganlar Holding has set up its first overseas production plant in Senegal with a USD 10m investment, according to Davut Dogan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Doganlar Holding. 

The manufacturing plant, which will be put into operation in February, will produce furniture. 

“Our Senegal facility will also create employment,” said Dogan. 

The holding company is also working on a Marketplace and Truck Parking project in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. This project’s cost amounts to USD 106m. 

The company has recently launched its 10th store in Dakar.

“We have over 200 concept stores in 36 countries on four continents, from Paris to London, from New York to Berlin. We’ll make more investment in Africa this year. We aim to grow our number of retail stores and projects in the region,” Dogan said.

Dogan also stated that Libya, Nigeria, Liberia, Zambia, Angola, Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa will be the target markets. The holding company will open its second stores in countries including Libya, Nigeria, Angola, and Kenya soon.
